Reference · Lithuania
42 m hydrogen-powered waste collection tanker.
A waste collection tanker taking waste oil, bilge water and sewage from vessels calling at the port.
Propulsion
Hybrid electric with hydrogen fuel cells.
Electric propulsion with two 40 kW hydrogen fuel cells generating on board and roughly 2 MWh of energy storage. There is no mechanical connection between a prime mover and the shaft: the propulsion motors are supplied from the DC system, and the vessel operates in zero-emission mode for more than ten hours. The fuel cells, energy storage and ship’s systems are integrated under one alarm philosophy and one operator interface, enabling operation with a crew of three.
