Products / Propulsion

Electric and hybrid propulsion for working vessels.

Propulsion, energy storage and power management for everything from small working craft to large, fast vessels. Delivered as one package from first concept through to sea trials.

The system

Built around the operating profile.

We have delivered hybrid and electric propulsion across a wide span of vessels — from small working craft that spend most of their day at partial load to large, fast vessels that need full power on demand.

These are very different operating profiles, so each system is engineered around the vessel’s duty rather than around a standard package. Classification-society approval is included in the delivery.

  • Small working craft through to large, fast vessels
  • Newbuild and retrofit
  • Parallel hybrid, diesel-electric (serial) and fully electric — chosen by how power reaches the shaft
  • Engines, energy storage, power management and drives as one supplied system
  • Propulsion, automation and monitoring integrated together
  • Class approval

Datasheet

Hybrid propulsion datasheet

System architecture, energy storage and charging, mode changeover, integration with the control and monitoring layer, and class notation.

Scope

One supplier for the whole package.

When propulsion, power management and control come from three different suppliers, the interfaces between them are a common source of problems. We take the whole electrical and control scope, hardware included, with one team responsible for the system as a whole.

01

Concept and design

Operating-profile calculations, system architecture, electrical design and class documentation.

02

Supply and integration

Energy storage, power management, drives and the control layer specified, supplied and integrated as a single system.

03

Commissioning and support

Installation, functional testing, sea trials, and lifecycle support with remote diagnostics afterwards.

Would hybrid suit your vessel?

Send us the operating profile. That is enough for us to give you a first answer.
